Volunteering makes a difference!
Oya No Kai is remarkable in many ways. We support the Japanese Dual Language Program through activities, program advocacy, monetary support and coordination of the Intern and Cultural Exchange programs. This couldn’t be done without the active participation of program families and volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming more involved in your child’s education, volunteering for Oya No Kai is a great way to do that. You can sign up to be on the board, volunteer for a single day event, or take on a larger project. Whichever you choose, you will be helping to make the Japanese Dual Language Program stronger. We welcome everyone and can help find a good fit for you. All you need to do is let us know! Contact us at info@oyanokai.org.
Become a Board Member
Board positions open on a regular basis. You must have a child enrolled in the Japanese Immersion Program to serve on the board. The board must also have representation from each of the program’s three schools. Terms are two years with a maximum of two consecutive terms served in any one position. If you are interested in serving on the board, we welcome you to first attend one of our monthly meetings.
